Sonia Hamza is a French photographer, a plastic artist and a stylist born in 1975 and a graduate from the ENSAA Duperré and the London's Central Saint Martin’ School of Art and Design. She is interested in textile sculpture, painting and photography. She learned techniques of tapestry with Claude-Marie Thibert-Boutou, Better Worker of France, creator of textile sculptures from tapestry. She is very influenced in the Japanese style. She has chosen human relations, love, roots and origins as the focuses of her artistic research. She created by questioning her own experiment and plays with pictures, words and matter to stage the feelings. She defines herself as "a portrait painter of emotion".
