In 2017, Energy Observer has left Saint-Malo (France) for a 6-year world tour (2017-2022). A planned route of 17973 Nautical Miles through 25 countries and 48 stopovers. Its purpose is to optimize the innovative technologies installed on board and promote sustainable solutions applied to the energy transition.
The boat
The ship crew
The shore team
On shore, the Energy Observer crew meets with project leaders to share with them concrete solutions facilitating the ecological transition.
During some stopovers, the ship is accompanied by an event village providing the public with information on climate change, onboard technologies and showing various documentaries produced by the crew.
TecSOM on board!
Tecsom, the last recruit of the crew, has just boarded Energy Observer and will share the rest of the journey with them! At the moment, 70 sqm of TecSOM MICROTEC+ is being installed.
This microtuft collection with tight structure is perfectly suited to the design of the ship’s living and working spaces. This 100% solution dyed polyamide product, stain-resistant and water-repellent, offers a very appreciable comfort of use and maintenance on a boat while bringing an elegant well-being touch that makes the crew truly feels ... at home.
Energy Observer is currently docked in Saint Malo while the carpet is being laid.
Next start in early 2020, North Asia heading.
Happy New Year to the crew and... good wind!
